Dr. Churchill takes a holistic approach to dealing with injury and pain, looking carefully into how each patient's unique history plays a role in their health. She is an expert diagnostician of musculoskeletal and pain disorders. She utilizes a combination of modalities in the treatment of pain and  is an expert in ultrasound guided procedures including nerve blocks, Botox injections, and joint injections as well as medication management in severe cases. Dr. Churchill enjoys helping patients manage complex injuries and disorders using a multimodal holistic approach. Dr. Churchill has a special interest in women's health and pelvic pain, headache, an hypermobility disorders. 

Dr. Chuchill is a dedicated mother of two girls and enjoys playing the guitar and doing crafts in her free time.

Meghan is a recent arrival to Northern Virginia from her home state of West Virginia. She previously practiced for eight years at an all inclusive health care facility where she treated a wide range of patient conditions and situations. Meghan is very good with patients who are overcoming pain and difficult life circumstances. Meghan enjoys expanding her knowledge of medicine and spending time with her family and exploring the parks and museums of our Nation's Capitol.

Debbie Royer



Infusion Therapy

Debbie is a native of Great Falls and grew up just a block away from where the Artius clinic. She has nearly four decades of Nursing experience and has worked is Med/surgery, podiatry, dialysis, neurology, and labor and delivery. Her hobbies include cake decorating, painting ceramics, doing cryptopuzzles, and jigsaw puzzles. She also loves animals, especially her tuxedo cat. 

Valinda "Vinny" Dodson

RN, BSN, LMT, Certified Hypnotherapist


Medical Massage, Hypnotherapy, EMDR

Vinny is a lifelong native of the D.C. area. Her passion for alternatives to traditional medicine started more than 25 years ago when she received her massage therapy training. Vinny then put that to work helping Olympic level gymnasts train, recover, and reach peak performance. She traveled with the team before returning to private practice focusing on pain management. Vinny is also a reiki practitioner as well as numerous other massage modalities. 

After working as a very high level massage therapist Vinny returned to school at Shenandoah University to become a registered nurse. As an RN she worked in the mother/baby unit at Virginia Hospital Center. She was able to augment her classical nurse training alongside her holistic approaches to pain. Vinny continued to hone her skills by adding Hypnotherapy, EMDR, and more. Artius provides her a very unique opportunity to work alongside like-minded professionals with a passion for patient care. 

When she is not at work Vinny is still caring for her husband of almost 30 years and their four grown children. She loves a good walk with the family's three dogs or an afternoon at the ballpark enjoying a cold beer and watching the Nationals. 

Mary Castle



Infusion Therapy   

Mary is a 4th generation Washingtonian who is now living in Northern Virginia. She has 40 years of nursing experience and is also an infusion instructor. Her experience spans from Stroke Rehabilitation to Critical Care, pioneering the home IV therapy team for INOVA home health, school nursing, and infusion therapy for Artius. Mary is also CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) credentialed. 

Mary spent her summers growing up in Colonial Beach, Virginia, where she was a Junior member of the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad. She later went on to graduate from NOVA Community College and also has an associates degree in Fine Arts from Immaculate College of Washington D.C. Mary also served as a Corps Man in the U.S. Army Reserves.  

Arnoldo Alvarado

Arnoldo has been interested in the medical field ever since joining Northern Virginia Community College back in 2012. There he went on to take several science courses such as biology, chemistry, and psychology. It was there where he learned a vast knowledge and appreciation of the human mind and body. After community college, he discovered Medtech College in Falls Church and quickly enrolled to enhance his training. At Medtech he received hands on training by professionals to use anatomy, physiology, triaging, patient care, and overall medical protocol and etiquette skills to help him become a better medical assistant and also a better person. In his free time, Arnoldo enjoys traveling, working out, playing sports, and reading.

Babette has a passion for helping people live healthier lives by promoting proper nutrition. She is a Board Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and is also a Board Certified Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) Practitioner. Babette works one on one with clients to determine their current health status and then offers a wide variety of dietary strategies and supplements to support specific health goals.

Sheri Hudson

Sheri has a lifelong passion for health and wellness. Sheri grew up in West Virginia where she saw first hand the negative health impact that toxins in the environment had on her family and friends. Sheri received her Clinical Thermographer Certification from the Duke University Medical Center. She is also a member of the American Academy of Clinical Thermography. In addition, Sheri is also Certified as a Laser Technician through Lectro Life, and has done an apprenticeship with Dr. Paul Cosman, ND. Sheri uses cold laser technology as part of her cold laser detox program. Sheri also specializes in Lyme detox. Sheri also offers a hyperbaric oxygen therapy at her Holistic Family Health Clinic located in Herndon, Virginia. 


Deirdre McHugh

Retired RN




Deirdre has been passionate about health care, social policy, and health advocacy for her entire career. As a retired RN, Transpersonal Counselor, Reiki practitioner, and Lyme and chronic illness advocate, she believes in the body's innate wisdom and ability to heal itself, given the right tools and support. Deirdre has a deep understanding of living and thriving with Lyme disease and aims to empower others on their journey back to full health and wellness.
