Arnoldo Alvarado

Arnoldo has been interested in the medical field ever since joining Northern Virginia Community College back in 2012. There he went on to take several science courses such as biology, chemistry, and psychology. It was there where he learned a vast knowledge and appreciation of the human mind and body. After community college, he discovered Medtech College in Falls Church and quickly enrolled to enhance his training. At Medtech he received hands on training by professionals to use anatomy, physiology, triaging, patient care, and overall medical protocol and etiquette skills to help him become a better medical assistant and also a better person. In his free time, Arnoldo enjoys traveling, working out, playing sports, and reading.

Monica Marusceac

Board Certified Hypnotherapist

Specialties:

Pain Management, Fertility, and Weight Loss

Monica is outgoing, experimental, and an out-of-the-box thinker who is likely to provide you with effective yet unorthodox perspectives and ideas. Monica intuitively understands the ideas and feelings of others and inspires her clients to become involved advocates in their own change process. She uses hypnosis and NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP) strategically to persuade and inspire patients to embrace opportunities for change and let go of the old story that has kept them unhappy, unhealthy and in pain. Never boring, always experimenting, Monica will captivate your imagination and guide you to discover new ways to solve old problems, and maybe even change the rules of your life entirely. Monica is a military veteran with over a decade as an active duty Marine AV-8B Harrier jet pilot. She has served overseas and has had the distinct pleasure of working in the Pentagon for her last duty assignment. In fact, she still serves in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, in addition to helping people overcome their limiting beliefs and achieve their fullest potential through hypnotherapy. Monica believes everything starts with the mind. It doesn’t matter what it is; for example, the efficacy of medications can be improved by focusing the mind on amplifying the medicine’s beneficial effects and minimizing its side effects. Originally on track to go to medical school after leaving active duty, Monica decided to remain a hypnotherapist after seeing how many people were able to overcome their mental, emotional and even some physical problems, with the assistance of therapeutic hypnosis. Monica is a graduate of Cornell University and enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving and spending time with her husband, son and three Siberian Huskies

Dee Romanek

Certified Hypnotherapist

Specialties:

Pain Management, Anxiety, and Weight Loss

You will find an approachable, attuned and engaged provider when working with Dee. She has an attentive ear, an open mind, a compassionate heart and an intuitive ability to understand the ideas and feelings of others. Dee prioritizes and fosters connection in all areas of her life and she has always been drawn to the power of stories in people’s lives. Dee is keenly aware how the narratives we craft have the power to affect us in myriad ways –whether it’s the language we use or the scenes we bring to mind - our thoughts inevitably manifest in our bodies and produce either pleasure or pain. Dee is a firm believer in embracing what works and releasing what doesn’t, which is why she uses a combination of hypnosis and NLP to help patients rewrite their narratives and experience massive breakthroughs. Perhaps because Dee’s first experiences with hypnosis and mindfulness coincided, she is fascinated by the intersection between the two and actively explores ways each modality can support the other when working with patients. Dee is a lifelong resident of the DC area. She received a BA in Philosophy from the College of William and Mary, and worked in television prior to raising her two wonderful sons in Arlington, Virginia. Time spent out of the traditional workforce allowed Dee the ability to engage with the local community, with civic engagement, politics and human connection remaining a top priority in her life. Dee and her husband have embraced their empty nest by filling it with good friends and frequent travel, both of which only serve to reaffirm that connection adds depth and texture to our lives – be it near or far.

Ivana Lombardo

Board Certified Consulting Hypnotist

Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner

Certified Health and Wellness Coach

Specialties:

Hypnosis, NLP, Chronic Pain Management

When Ivana was young, she thought she wanted to become either a Doctor or Pharmacist. She attended a prestigious medical high school in Serbia (her native country), which was a prep school for Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities. Originally educated as a pharmaceutical technician, Ivana quickly realized that she enjoyed connecting with people more than dispensing medication. After leading the nutrition department for a busy alternative healthcare clinic, she realized that her true passion was psychology and the workings of the human mind. The desire to learn more led her to a BA in Psychology, which she bolstered with additional in-depth training in critical coaching skills such as Motivational Interviewing, Co-Active Coaching,  and Positive Psychology, as well was holistic care for the whole person.

An avid, life-long learner, Ivana originally became interested in hypnosis as a way to more fully service her coaching clients. Ivana puts her multi-layered training and passion to work to help clients feel healthy, whole, and resourceful.
